Power Truck Show 2015

For any truck enthusiast and photographer the high point the summer is Power Truck Show. That's when the finest trucks of Finland and Northern Europe head to Power Park, Alahärmä, to the region of Ostrobothnia. It goes without saying it's the biggest trucking event in Finland.

This year the show was held from 7th to 8th August. On 6th August it was possible to see a spectacular convoy of show trucks from abroad making their way from the ports of Helsinki and Naantali to Alahärmä via Lempäälä and Jalasjärvi. It was quite a thrill to witness the convoy in three different locations - through my Canon of course!

Power Park provides a beautiful setting for trucks. In just few words it is a truck photographer's heaven.

Among the most interesting participants this year were the American Truck category winner, the spectacular Fredrik Biehl's green semi Peterbilt 359 year 1971 (a fantastic truck to shoot, too), the Super Truck category winner Scania R620 Ice Princess, and the Bulk Truck category winner, the amazing Highway Hero and the winner of the Challenger category, Volvo FH16 750 Ace of Spades.
