Find the Photo You Are Looking For!

You are looking for a stock photo for a project or a particular need, but finding the right image is a struggle? Sounds familiar? Photos are tagged, searched and found by KEYWORDS, so let's take a closer look.

TOP TIP: Search common keywords in ENGLISH. Please search common keywords in English and check that the site language is set in English. I write keywords originally in English, so the web translations even on the agency sites can yield unreliable or erratic results.

TOP TIP #2: Multiple keywords usually work better. 2-3 keywords are ideal.

TOP TIP #3: If you happen to be searching the stock agency main site, add keyword FINLAND.

1. Are you here to find a specific truck?

The easiest strategy is to search COMPANY NAME, BRAND, MAKE

Please note in NAMES å, ä and ö are replaced with a and o.

Example: YOURCOMPANY Scania,

YOURCOMPANY Scania R500

Due to keywording limitations I do not always include Company name. If you can't find what you're looking for, try another search with different keywords.

Searching with BRAND, MAKE, VEHICLE TYPE, COLOR or combination of these may work better. Example: Blue Scania tanker

If you are here to locate a specific object or item, the same strategy should work:

a. choosing multiple English keywords;

b. using names or descriptions: cladonia stellaris, Steam Traction Engine, John Deere Combine s670i, pink flowers spring

2. Locating different types of vehicles

Try BRAND, MAKE, COLOR, VEHICLE TYPE, LOAD/TRANSPORT TYPE or a combination of them.

Examples: scania s500, oversize load, tank truck, mining equipment, wheel loader, blue tipper, forest vehicle, ev tesla

you can add

ACTION or PLACE

Examples: moving, motion, parked, driving, truck stop, working, charging, road, highway, motorway, freeway, yard, forest, turku

you can also search SEASON or WEATHER autumn, fall, winter, spring, summer

snowfall, snowing, rainy, overcast, sunlight

4. Searching an EVENT

If you want to find images of an event, search official EVENT NAME or EVENT PLACE Examples: Maxpo 2017, messukeskus, Helsinki

5. Some general keywords that might help

LOAD TYPE: wide load, oversize load, semi trailer, low loader, timber
